- Robert was introduced to asbestos abatement work in 1981 when he was employed with the Cleveland Municipal School District. He was the Asbestos Abatement Coordinator for the Cleveland Schools.
- Prior to being the Asbestos Coordinator for the Cleveland Schools Robert was the Plaster Foreman.
- Robert was a member of the US Air Force

Incorporated in 1985, American Abatement started out in a small store front on Lorain Avenue in Cleveland. We quickly grew into our current office, still in the city of Cleveland, on Maywood Avenue.
